Anyone walking through the busy streets of Sydney’s CBD on Sunday morning could have looked up and seen something unbelievable: a couple saying “I do” 268 metres above the ground.
Newlyweds Alex and Prue tied the knot on a glass platform at Sydney Tower Eye’s SKYWALK over the weekend, making theirs the highest wedding the city has ever seen.

After meeting through their work in the mining industry, the couple connected over their love of the adventurous and fell in love.
It only made sense that they’d choose a daring wedding venue when the time came to make their romance official.
”What better way to legalise our love?” Prue said of their unorthodox ceremony.
While most brides dream of getting married in a flowing white gown, Prue said her vows in a cobalt blue jumpsuit, white sneakers and a very well-secured veil.

Alex wore a matching SKYWALK jumpsuit, as did their celebrant and the SKYWALK guides who were tasked with keeping the couples’ wedding rings safe until the time came for Alex and Prue to slip them on.
Of course, when you get married more than 80 stories above the ground, you have to take a few precautions.
As well as wearing their SKYWALK jumpsuits, Alex and Prue were attached to the railings of the glass platform where they exchanged vows with sturdy carabiners and thick safety tethers, as were their celebrant and witnesses – Alex’s brother and two close friends.

The celebrant also had a special booklet containing their vows that was attached to her harness, so there was no chance it could blow away.
After Alex and Prue said “I do” and sealed their vows with a kiss, they headed inside to celebrate their nuptials over lunch with family and friends at the Observation Deck.
Ditching their jumpsuits, Prue wore a colourful pink blouse and sparkling tiara for the occasion, while new husband Alex looked smart in a blue button-down.
